About Tirimoana House Accommodation
For most of the last century visitors have enjoyed holidaying, both summer and winter, at Tirimoana House, which is located in the idyllic Marlborough Sounds in the South Island of New Zealand. Tirimoana House sits on an elevated beachfront site once occupied by the historic Tiri Moana Hotel, an early hotel from the beginning of the 1900s where the original owners were able to pick the ultimate site to locate the hotel. The hotel was burnt down in 1969 and the present building was built in 1973.
Tirimoana House is now a two-storey beachfront lodge accommodation set in terraced grounds. All bedrooms are air-conditioned, have private decks and enjoy stunning views looking down the Queen Charlotte Sound. This character filled boutique beachfront b&b and self-catering accommodation is a stroll from the Tirimoana jetty and the famous Queen Charlotte Track, and is conveniently located 30 minutes from Picton; 20 minutes from Havelock the gateway to the Marlborough Sounds; and 50 minutes drive to the internationally renowned Marlborough wineries.
The spacious guest lounge and dining area has a sliding door opening out to the covered veranda with breathtaking sea views down the Queen Charlotte Sound. In winter relax in front of the log fire, enjoy the outdoor spa pool year-round and in summer enjoy a swim in the swimming pool located on the top terrace, or the sea immediately in front.
