"My wife and I spent two nights at Tirimoana House, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The B & B is located up Queen Charlotte Drive. We stayed in the Sunrise Room which had beautiful views of the sound and great private deck to sit out on. The place itself is very eclectic, with great little knick knacks around the house. John and Michelle, our wonderful hosts, are both amateur painters. You can see paintings from all of the places they have visited. Breakfast is served outside on a beautiful deck with views of the sound. Michelle is an amazing chef and breakfast was great. My wife and I also had Christmas Eve dinner with John and Michelle. It was one of the big highlights of our trip to New Zealand. Christmas morning brought carols playing, John and Michelle (and even Sugar the dog) dressed in holiday fare. We were even treated to a Christmas present at the breakfast table. John and Michelle made us feel so welcome in their home and I would recommend the Tirimoana House to anyone wanting a great B & B experience."
